This is a much closer race than it looks like on paper.  Dela Rosa got a big holeshot, but Gallegos is ahead by the 330 and gets the win.

Mike Keenan 4.2868 @ 183.15 def Ed Jacquez 5.3208 @131

Keenan has lived inthe 4.20's all weekend and has another nice pass.  Low of the round so far.  Jacquez still trying to figure out this turbo combination

Charlie Montoya 4.9234 @ 147 def Mike Garcia 6.0082 @ 124

This should be the closest pair on paper.  Both cars leave together but Garcia has issues.  Montoya goes straight down for the win.

Gordy King 4.6329 @ 141  def Bob Cordova NO TIME

Cordova is a no show for 1st round.  Gordy is smooth down the track just a little slower than qualifying.

Round 2

Robert Gallegos 4.1783 @ 151.26 def Charlie Montoya 5.5791 @ 138

Gallegos is off the line first and never looks back.  Back in the low 4's on this run.  Montoya is late on the line and has trouble down track.

Mike Keenan 4.2553 @ 189.23 def Gordy King 4.5470 @ 160

Gordy takes a chance at the tree and RED by .002.  Both drivers make their quickest passes of the weekend.  Keenan faces Gallegos in the finals.

Mike Keenan 4.2765 @ 180 def Robert Gallegos 4.2062 @ 152

This is what everyone came to see.  Number 1 vs Number 2.  Keenan has a big holeshot advantage and it is enough to fight off the pro charger of Gallegos.  Margin of victory is .0177.

Congratulations to Mike Keenan on his 3 RODS victory.  Looking like he might be on his way to his first RODS Championship
